New Year, new resolution...

Being the mother in my household, it's an unspoken role that I get the pleasure of unilaterally making a new year's resolution for us all to keep and this year is firmly to cut waste.
It comes after to many months of me railing against us just having too much stuff knocking about the place: the children don't play with all their toys, I don't get the time to 'play' with all my crafty things and hubby consistently declares that none of it's his. I'm sure we're not alone.
Tackling the clutter is one thing, but I just thought it's time for us to bite the harder bullet and avoid creating the waste in the first place. We already recycle and compost lots which goes a long way to having minimal household rubbish, but even recycling is waste, as shown by my embarrassing post-Christmas recycle bin.
We'll see how it goes.
